Multi-domain Analysis in the Nainital Microlensing Survey data
Аннотация:
In this talk, I shall present our results of the Nainital Microlensing Survey which had been carried at Nainital, India using 104-cm telescope with the main aim of detecting gravitational microlensing events towardvs M31 galaxy. In the process of 4-year long survey, we have detected microlensing event, pulsating variables and cataclysmic variable stars in M31. The identification of large number of Cepheids has enabled us to determine the distance of the M31 through their period-luminosity relation.

Preliminary optical design of single and three channel photometer
Аннотация:
In this talk I am going to present the preliminary optical design of a focal reducer for single and three channel high speed time series CCD photometer for Asteroseismological study for the side port and axial of 3.6m Devasthal optical telescope, respectively. The single channel focal reducer has been designed to get the F/3 output beam which covers the field of view of 4.2'x4.2' for 1kx1k detector and F/2 output beam which covers the field of view of 6.36'x6.36' for 1kx1k detector for the wavelength range of 400-800 nm. Performance analysis which includes image quality, tolerance, thermal and ghost analysis will be presented. The three channel focal reducer has been designed to get the F/2 output beam which comes from the dichroic beam splitters through filters which covers the field of view of 6.36'x6.36' for 1kx1k detector. Performance analysis will be presented.
