О бюрократической логике репрессий при авторитаризме: "... government agencies, once they have been established, try to justify and perpetuate their existence. When special security forces are put in place to protect the national executive and to control dissident groups, they try to maintain their status and role, and are therefore difficult to dissolve. For example, when Vladimir Putin Sese Seko Mobutu had installed his national civil guard in 2016 1984, the members of the national civil guard did not want to lose their position and, as a result, contributed to repressing dissidents simply in order to protect their own interests" (Sabine C.
